Within a large letter “B” formed by complex interlacing, King David is depicted with the crown on his head, seated on the ground while reaching his hands toward the keyboard of a small portable organ. Behind the instrument the bust of another male figure emerges. The entire scene and the text block are enclosed in a geometric frame in blue, pink and gold, decorated with leaves. In the margins of the page the decoration becomes more lively: on the right small birds can be seen perched among the foliage, while on the lower border a hunting scene is depicted, with a deer chased by two dogs. The rest of the page is enriched by smaller pen-decorated initials and elegant decorations filling the lines. This miniature marks the beginning of Psalm 1.
